Most railroad companies of yesteryear have gone, but some of the great steam and diesel locomotives they used are shown here in oil paintings by Robert Hunt. The Santa Fe Chief in warbonnet colors, New York Central's Empire Builder, and the PRR's famous T1 and K4 steam power are a few of the fallen flags represented, along with the truly unique East Broad Top RR narrow gauge steam railroad in Pennsylvania. Also worth seeing is the Union Pacific Big Boy in high mountain snow crossing a pass in the Rockies, and the sharknose diesel units. Accuracy in color schemes and mechanical details and are throughout every piece of art work, from steam locomotive running gear to the catenary wires that provided overhead electrical power to the Pennsylvania Railroad's GG-1 and P5A.
